SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Inflagic is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
UNSAFE
Inflagic may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Inflagic is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Inflagic is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease as careful dose selection and regular monitoring of kidney function tests are advised while you are taking this medicine.
CAUTION
Inflagic should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Inflagic may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

How to use Inflagic

Inflagic is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.
Quick Tips
  • Wysolone 5 Tablet DT helps treat inflammation, severe allergies, flare-ups of ongoing illnesses, and many other medical problems that require either reduction of inflammation or suppression of the immune system.
  • Do not use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
  • Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.
  • Wysolone 5 Tablet DT can make it harder for you to fight off infections. Notify your doctor if you have any signs of infection such as a fever or sore throat.
  • Side effects such as mood changes or stomach problems can happen when you start taking Wysolone 5 Tablet DT. Inform your doctor if this bothers you.
  • Do not stop taking Wysolone 5 Tablet DT suddenly without talking to your doctor first as it may worsen your symptoms.

Indication
Rheumatoid arthritis, Multiple sclerosis, Allergic and inflammatory disorders, Nephrotic syndrome, Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, Joint inflammations, Moderate to severe asthma, Infantile spasms
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Adult Dose
Oral Allergic and inflammatory disorders Adult: 5-60 mg daily in 2-4 divided doses. Maintenance: 2.5-15 mg daily. Withdrawal should be gradual after long-term therapy. Poorly controlled, moderate to severe asthma, COPD Adult: Patients with at least 2 exacerbations/yr requiring oral corticosteroids: 40-60 mg daily in 1-2 divided doses; usually given as a short course treatment over 10-14 days until symptom resolution and patient achieves a peak expiratory flow (PEF) of at least 80% of his or her personal best. Contraindication
Live vaccines; herpes simplex keratitis, systemic infections.
Mode of Action
Prednisolone decreases inflammation by inhibition of migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and reversal of increased capillary permeability. It suppresses the immune system by reducing the activity and production of the lymphocytes and eosinophils.
Precaution
Patients with hypothyroidism, cirrhosis, ulcerative colitis, CHF, convulsive disorders, thrombophlebitis, peptic ulcer, elderly. DM, hypertension, psychological disturbances, osteoporosis; pregnancy, lactation. Adrenal suppression and infection. May cause irreversible growth retardation, glaucoma, corneal perforation. Interaction
Efficacy may be reduced by phenytoin, phenobarb, rifampicin. Corticoids may reduce the effects of diuretics, hypoglycaemics, anticholinesterases, salicylates.
