LVC is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
LVC is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or more prolonged use of LVC may cause drowsiness and other effects in the baby or decrease the milk supply
UNSAFE
LVC may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
CAUTION
LVC should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of LVC may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of LVC is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

How to use LVC
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. LVC may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

LVC is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.

As compared to other similar medications, it is much less likely to make you feel sleepy.
Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as it can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication as it may cause increased sleepiness.
Stop taking LVC at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.
