How to use Neuratam

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Neuratam may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Neuratam works

Neuratam is a nootropic medicine. It works by increasing the activity of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) which improves communication between the nerve cells. It also protects the brain and nervous system against shortness of oxygen.

It may cause dizziness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.

Renal Dose

Contraindication

Hepatic and severe renal impairment. Cerebral haemorrhage. Pregnancy and lactation.

Mode of Action

Piracetam protects the cerebral cortex against hypoxia. It also inhibits platelet aggregation and reduces blood viscosity.
