Oxapam is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Oxapam may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
As Oxapam may affect how your muscles work or may make you feel sleepy or forgetful. It may also impair your alertness which can affect your ability to drive.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Oxapam is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Oxapam is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Use of Oxapam may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
CAUTION
Oxapam should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Oxapam may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Oxapam is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

How to use Oxapam
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Oxapam may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Oxapam works
Oxapam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
What if you forget to take Oxapam?
If you miss a dose of Oxapam, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
