How to use Perpen
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not chew, crush or break it.
How Perpen works
Perpen is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
What if you forget to take Perpen?
If you miss a dose of Perpen, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Quick Tips
You have been prescribed Perpen for the treatment of bacterial infections.
It is given by an injection into a vein or muscle, or via a drip into a vein.
Finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
