Medicine Overview of Ziskavit Capsule

Indication
Vitamin B deficiency. Glossitis, stomatitis, cheilosis, beriberi polyneuritis.
Adult Dose
Oral Adult: Tablet/Capsule : 1-2 tab/cap, 3 times daily. Syrup : 1-2 (5 ml spoonful) syrup three times a day.
Child Dose
Oral Children: 1 (5 ml spoonful) syrup three times a day. Infants: 1 (5 ml spoonful) syrup daily.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of its components.
Mode of Action
Vitamin B: Plays a role in the synthesis and maintenance of coenzyme A. Necessary for lipid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, tissue respiration, glycogenolysis, inhibition of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) synthesis. May increaase chylomicro...

Precaution
Should be given cautiously to patients taking Levodopa as Pyridoxine reduces the effect of Levodopa.
Side Effect
Generally well tolerated.
