Alatin 10 may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Alatin 10 is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Alatin 10 is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Larger doses or prolonged use of Alatin 10 may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby

Alatin 10 does not usually affect your ability to drive.

CAUTION

Alatin 10 should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Alatin 10 may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Alatin 10 is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Alatin 10 may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

How to use Alatin 10

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alatin 10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Alatin 10 works

Alatin 10 is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.

Your doctor has prescribed Alatin 10 to help relieve allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes.

It's much less likely to make you feel sleepy than other similar medications.

It is okay to take Alatin 10 with most other medications as it has few drug interactions.

Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Alatin 10 can cause dizziness and sleepiness.

Do not drink alcohol while taking Alatin 10 as it may cause increased sleepiness.

Stop taking Alatin 10 at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.
