Alendon is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
If you are taking Alendon during breastfeeding, monitor baby's blood calcium levels during the first two months.

Alendon may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Alendon is not expected to have any effects but in rare cases, it may cause dizziness, severe muscle, joint and bone pain and eye pain or inflammation. This may affect your ability to drive.
CAUTION
Alendon should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Alendon may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Dose adjustment is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.

How to use Alendon
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alendon is to be taken empty stomach.
How Alendon works
Alendon is a bisphosphonate. It works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bones and minimizes the risk of fractures.
What if you forget to take Alendon?
If you miss a dose of Alendon, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
Quick Tips
Your doctor has prescribed Alendon to make your bones stronger and lower the risk of fractures.
Take it in the morning at least 30 minutes before eating or drinking anything.
Maintain an upright posture for 30 minutes after taking the medication so the medicine does not irritate your food pipe.
