How to use Sodicrom DS
Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. As you spray, breath gently and keep the head upright. Repeat the same process for the other nostrils.
How Sodicrom DS works
Sodicrom DS is a mast cell stabilizer. It works on certain cells in the body (mast cells) to prevent them from releasing substances that cause allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose and stuffy nose.
Quick Tips
  • The right way to use the nasal spray:
  • Avoid deep breathing as it will cause medication to go back to the throat and make it less effective.
  • Do not share the bottle with anyone else so that you do not spread germs.
  • Consult with your doctor if your symptoms do not get improve within 3 weeks of treatment.

Indication
Allergic conjuntivitis, Allergic rhinitis, accompanied by, nasal congestion
Adult Dose
Ophthalmic Allergic conjunctivitis Adult: Instill 2 drops of a 4% soln 4-6 times daily. Nasal Allergic Rhinitis 1 drop to each nostril 2 to 3 times daily.

Contraindication
This drop is contraindicated in patient with hypersensitivity to Sodium Cromoglicate .
Mode of Action
Sodium Cromoglycate inhibits degranulation of mast cells and therefore suppresses the release of histamine, leukotrienes and slow-reacting substance of anaphylaxis.
Precaution
As this drop contains benzalkonium chloride, patients should not wear contact lenses during treatment with this drop.
Side Effect
Intranasal use: Transient irritation of nasal mucosa. Sneezing and epistaxis (occasional). Eye drops: Transient burning and stinging.
