Isobgul Sachet helps to naturally increase the bulk of stool, making it easier to pass. It is used to treat constipation, stomach acid, colon muscle spasms, inflammatory bowel disease, inflammatory bowel syndrome, and swollen veins in the anus region. It increases the amount of water in the intestines and is especially beneficial for pregnancy-related constipation.

Brief Description
Indication
Constipation - Raised levels of cholesterol - Hemorrhoids or piles - Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) - Reduces blood glucose level.
Administration
Its Usually typically administered orally in the form of powder or granules. The powder or granules are mixed with water and consumed once or twice per day .It is important to take ispaghula husk with plenty of fluids, as it can cause dehydration if not taken with enough water.
Adult Dose
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 spoonful with water 2 times daily or as per doctor’s advice.
Child Dose
Children 6 to 12 years: ½ to 1 spoonful with water depending on age and weight.
Renal Dose
It is generally considered safe for use in people with renal disease. Patients with kidney disease, should be consult with doctor before using it.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patients with gastrointestinal tract obstruction or threatening obstruction of the bowel.
Mode of Action
Ispaghula husk absorbs water in the intestines, increasing stool bulk and promoting bowel movements. This helps relieve constipation and promote regularity. This increased fiber intake also contributes to cholesterol reduction by reducing the absorption of dietary cholesterol.
Precaution
Consuming dried husk orally without water may cause problems.

Generally this should not be used during pregnancy . However, it is important to talk with doctor before taking it. Lactation :It does not pass through breast milk. As a result, it can be safely used during lactation.
