SAFE
Consuming alcohol with Demoxil does not cause any harmful side effects.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Demoxil is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Demoxil is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
UNSAFE
Demoxil may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Demoxil can have side effects and the symptoms (such as allergic reactions, dizziness and convulsions) may make you unfit to drive.
CAUTION
Demoxil should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Demoxil may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

How to use Demoxil
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not chew, crush or break it. Demoxil may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Demoxil works
Demoxil is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

  • Demoxil is used to treat infections caused by bacteria.
  • Finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
