Quality & Testing

As one of the natural products industry’s premier manufacturers, NOW owns and operates several manufacturing and distribution facilities in the United States and Canada.

Both the Bloomingdale and Sparks facilities also house state-of-the-art testing laboratories, where NOW’s quality technicians use the latest analytical instrumentation to perform approximately 16,000 tests on ingredients and finished products each month.

Our primary manufacturing facility also contains several in-house laboratories, including gas chromatography, analytical, microbiological, and sensory labs. Our in-house laboratories help us to expedite the testing of raw materials, ingredient samples, and finished products, and afford our technicians a level of quality control that is virtually unmatched within the natural products industry.

Our Bloomingdale facility is at the heart of our manufacturing and distribution network and strongly supports our ability to achieve consistent levels of product quality, efficacy, and safety, as well as our ability to meet increasing consumer demand.

Advocacy

Many of the freedoms we enjoy today are taken for granted, including the freedom to purchase dietary supplements and natural health products.

Referred to as 'health freedom,' your right to choose vitamins and other nutrients in a supplemental form wasn’t guaranteed until 1994, with the passage of the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, commonly known as DSHEA.

NOW is committed to maintaining the integrity of DSHEA for many good reasons, but most importantly to protect the health freedom we all enjoy in this country today.

Environmental Sustainability

As a natural products manufacturer NOW is keenly aware of our potential impact on the environment, and we’re committed to responsible stewardship of our planet through the reduction of our carbon footprint and other sustainability initiatives. NOW’s Sparks, Nevada facility is a GMP-certified green facility built to adhere to LEED program specifications, which supports NOW’s focus on environmental and sustainability initiatives. Our Sparks facility is LEED Silver certified.

Charitable Contributions

NOW has enjoyed many good years, but we’ve also seen plenty of lean years, and it’s these times that help us remain grounded and focused on what really matters – helping others. At NOW we’re committed to sharing our blessings and good fortune with others. To this end we give generously based on the needs we see around us, as well as specific, ongoing causes. We give to charities in a direct and efficient manner, and we actively seek charities that are 'self-enabling', or those charities that encourage their recipients and teach them the skills they need to take care of themselves going forward.
