How to use Minocin 50
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Minocin 50 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Minocin 50 works
Minocin 50 is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Quick Tips
- Your doctor has prescribed Minoz OD 100 Capsule MR to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.
- It may cause dizziness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how Minoz OD 100 Capsule MR affects you.
- Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
- Discontinue Minoz OD 100 Capsule MR and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.

Mode of Action
Minocycline inhibits protein synthesis by binding to 30S and possibly 50S ribosomal subunits of susceptible bacteria. It is active against Streptococcus aureus, Neisseria meningitidis, various enterobacteria, Acinetobacter, Bacteroides, Haemophilus and Nocardia spp., and some mycobacteria.
