How to use Flegnil

Flegnil is a mucolytic medication. It thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) in the nose, windpipe and lungs making it easier to cough out.

Contraindication
Active peptic ulceration.
Mode of Action
Carbocisteine is a mucolytic. Carbocisteine reduces goblet cell hyperplasia and therefore plays a role in the management of disorders characterised by abnormal mucous.
Precaution
History of peptic ulceration.

Nausea, gastric discomfort, GI bleeding, skin rash.
